Holy Cow, a UPDATE....

I know it has been months and months without a update.  Life if kinda normal around here, well what every normal is.  We tons of snow, and it has been bitter cold.  But life goes on Right?  Here are some pictures of what goes on in our life.

Chawndell is a awesome swimmer....

We are trying to get a "good" family photo with the tree.....
Larry and Chawndell playing with the airplane, and remote control car.....

Those two are always up to something, this time they are digging snow forts......

Summer is flying by and we are having fun!!! Chanwdell had a rough start to the summer, with lots and lots of Migraines, But we have them under control. WHY did I not take her to the chiropractor sooner????? We have cut back on the Dairy products and it has been Amazing! We started of the summer with state track, and like always Chawndell is a awesome!!
Chawndell celebrated her Sweet 16, I cant believe how fast time has gone by!!!! From this tiny little 7lb 1oz 17 inch baby to......
this 5 feet 5 inch teenager.

Chawndell you AMAZE me....

Today is Chawndell last day of Middle School, she will be going to the High School next year.  I cannot believe how fast time goes, I remember the first day you went off to school.  I had tears all day, and all that week.

I seen the poem several years ago and, I came across it again today so I had to share.  It really touches me!!

Blessed are you who take time to listen to defective speech, for you help us to know that if we persevere, we can be understood.
Blessed are you who walk with us in public places and ignore the stares of strangers, for in your companionship we find havens of relaxation.
Blessed are you that never bids us "hurry up" and more blessed are you that do not snatch our task from our hands to do them for us, for often we need time rather than help.
Blessed are you who stand beside us as we enter new ventures, for our failures will be outweighed by times we surprise ourselves and you.
Blessed are you who ask for our help, for our greatest need is to be needed.
Blessed are you when by all these things you assure us that the thing that makes us individuals, is not our peculiar muscles, nor our wounded nerves system, but is the God-given self that no infirmity can confine.
Blessed are those who realize that I am human and don't expect me to be saintly just because I am disabled.
Blessed are those who pick things up with out being asked.
Blessed are those who understand that sometimes I am weak and not just lazy.
Blessed are those who forget my disability of the body and see the shape of my soul.
Blessed are those who see me as a whole person and not as a "half" and one of God's mistakes.
Blessed are those who love me just as I am without wondering what I might have been like.

Oh how I Love….

my family!!!!!

This past week I was able to send the WHOLE weekend with ALL my brothers and their family’s.  It was much needed time to all be together.  The last time we were all together was when our dad past away, almost 6 years ago.  YIKES that was a long time ago!!!!  We have all changed and some family’s  have grown!!!!

I love to see the little kids together and running around.  They LOVED playing in the snow!!!  I have lots of pictures, but not one of all of us together.  SAD SAD!!!

I have been teaching myself to crochet over the past year. It all started from my niece who is a  AMAZING crocheter!  She would come out and visit, and always have a project with her, so one to not be afraid to try, I decided to tackle a blanket for Chawndell.  That blanket is HUGE and still not done, I keep finding new and exciting projects to try!!!

Well Pinterest has HUGE amounts of crocheting projects!

Here is what Pinterest has taught me….

Happy New Year….

Happy Happy New Year!!!!!  What a year it has been, ups and downs, but nothing I would change!!

This year I’m trying a project 52  I’m hoping to learn and become a better photographer.  This project is being hosted by a amazing photographer.  You can check out her blog HERE  This weeks theme is “Resolutions” and I chose “faith, family, friends” as my news years resolution.

now on to Christmas, it was PERFECT!!!  We all got something we really wanted, and spent lots of time with Family and Friends.

we are trying to get in the picture, with the tree, but the stinking TV was in the way.  OH Well this is our family picture, TV and all.

My adorable Ranger was able to spend Christmas with us this year.  It was so much fun to see with open gifts and play with his toys!!  We LOVE this little guy so much!!

Santa, and Lacy came, and Chawndell decided her eyes could not sleep, and got us up and out of bed around 2;30 am YES 2;30!!!

Chawndell and her Sewing Machine, her favorite thing this year!!!  She has been loving to sew lines!!  HEHEHE we made Lar some jammie pants and, well this mom forgot to allow for the waist, so they are Lar size in legs and inseam, but Chawndell size in waist.

Larry, Chawndell, Alexis, Abbie (Chawndells friends) and I went to Bear Lake for our Anniversary, we went hoping to find snow, but Utah is lacking in the white stuff this year.  We did find a little, well barely enough to sled.  we did have lots of fun playing games by the fire, and swimming in the COLD pool.

View of the Lake on our way home

Winter, Christmas, Gifts and Craziness…

Hello and Happy December, I cant believe how fast this year has gone, we as a family have had lots of ups and downs, but no regrets.  I have been trying to make Christmas Special this year for family and friends, I have been teaching myself to crochet, and making lots of fun stuff.  Here are some of what I have been doing….

this AdOrABle Horse for a very cute nephew….

(I found this pattern on Pintrest)

LOTS of Hat for the nieces, and nephew, kind of of like these ones…

I have made Boy ones and Girl ones for the friends kids…

and now on to my cute daughter and her Special Olympics Party….

and sitting on Santa’s Lap, He asked her “what would you like for Christmas” Chawndell reply's “I don’t Know”  Well then I’m thinking.  I usually get my BEST ideas from what she tells Santa

and I LOVE to take our family pictures, but my family does not.  So I made them go outside and get it done, we had fun and got some CUTE ones…

I LOVE LOVE how they turned out!!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, LOVE the Christensen’s!
